What Are the Ford Protect Extended Service Plans?

So, what is included in an extended service contract? We’ve listed the four plans you can choose from below. While pricing increases with each plan, you’re getting more coverage and added peace of mind with your new Ford vehicle.

    • PowertrainCARE: 29 components of your Ford are covered within the engine, transmission, RWD, and FWD. While there are components within these systems that are not covered, the major ones are. For example, the radiator is not covered for the engine, and bearings are not covered with the RWD and FWD.
  • BaseCARE: This provides 84 covered components, which include the same components as the PowertrainCARE plan, as well as the steering, brakes, front suspension, A/C and heating, and electrical components. Like the plan above, certain aspects, like the anti-lock brake module, are not covered.
  • ExtraCARE: Get 113 covered components, including everything the plans listed above, with the addition of coverage for convenience and technology features. This coverage is excellent as it accounts for all the essentials, such as keyless entry and power window motors. However, it doesn’t cover advanced technologies like Ford SYNC® or rain-sensing wipers.
  • PremiumCARE: Covers over 1,000 components of your Ford. So, what doesn’t get covered in the other three plans gets covered here. This plan provides additional peace of mind during your Council Bluffs, IA commute.

Want an environmentally friendly vehicle? When you shop for your next Ford vehicle at Woodhouse Ford Omaha, you can still get the protection you want for your car— and it’s extended to electric vehicles, offering three distinct coverage options: BaseCare EV, ExtraCare EV, and PremiumCare EV. These plans cover 84 components, 113 components, and 1,000+ components, respectively.
